Due to cultural pressures and tradition, many people have not been able to go to school, especially women. This creates a barrier to social and economic, and even spiritual, development.

Church based literacy training is having an impact inside and outside the church in its community. From enabling women in the church to study the Bible, to freeing them to participate in the larger economy, to helping church & community leaders, to benefiting the surrounding community, this adult education program is already helping to evangelize the region.

Health Clinic and Education

Due to a lack of education and access to resources, the people of this rural area suffer from many preventable and curable diseases and conditions, leading to high mortality and low economic progress.

Church Leadership Training

As the church has grown and the society has moved from a traditional base to a more modern
perspective, the development of leadership has not kept pace.

DCI and the PCM are developing a comprehensive leadership training program for all levels of leaders. This training will enable the leaders to better serve their respective ministries, and by extension their larger communities. Training will cover general leadership skills, teamwork, organ-
izational unity, and doctrines of the church, as well as specific areas of expertise as applicable to different groups.
